Covenant Group Guidelines
These covenant group guidelines are based on the covenant that God makes with us. God's covenant includes promises, responsibilities, boundaries, and freedoms---and so we use those four categories as the basis for the way we relate to one another in groups.
- Promise
- I promise to maintain good communication with my group coordinator(s). For example, good communication means letting my coordinator know about absences, or particular issues or concerns that I might be having.
- Responsibility
- I accept the responsibility to make attend group meetings at least 75% of the time (six times in each eight-week session).
- Boundary
- I recognize the boundary that confidentiality is the rule when it comes to personal stories, discussions, issues, and concerns in my group.
- I recognize the boundary that when I speak, I should exhibit Christian character by speaking the truth in love.
- Freedom
- I recognize that I have the freedom to participate in discussion as much or as little as I choose at any given time during a meeting.
