Service During Worship
Worship Assistant (Lay Reader)
The Worship Assistant takes part in leading the congregation through the worship service by setting a comfortable, spiritual tone to the service. Each Sunday this person participates during the service by reading the Scripture, leading the prayers of the people, assisting with communion and the sending off at the end of the service.
Worship Assistants are needed for all Sunday services. Training is available and you may sign up for one or as many Sundays as you feel led. Please contact Kathy Campbell, Hospitality Coordinator at 503-472-5622 or via email.

Training will be provided and you can sign up for one or as many Sunday’s during the year as you are available. Please contact Kathy Campbell, Hospitality Coordinator at 503-472-5622 or via email.
Acolyte
Boys and girls starting at age 9 are welcome to participate in this ministry. Acolytes light the altar candles at the start of each service, assist with serving communion and also help with the offering.
Acolytes are needed for all Sunday services. Training will be provided. For more information contact Kathy Campbell, Hospitality Coordinator at 503-472-5622 or via email.
Greeter

Sanctuary Preparation (Altar Guild)
The members of this service decorate the chancel area for each Sunday Service and prepare the elements for the communion services (including the Children’s service).
Training for this service will be provided. You may sign up for one Sunday or many, as you feel led. The Sunday services are divided up so that you can select which one(s) you wish to cover during the year.
